THE STORY
“The second print in Tilsa Crousse's 'Leche de Tigre' series, produced on Photo Matt Fibre 200 paper at 21 × 29.7 cm. 'Leche de tigre' — tiger's milk — is the name Peruvians give to the tangy citrus-cured liquid that forms the base of ceviche, one of the country's most iconic dishes. Crousse is a Franco-Peruvian illustrator whose work is rooted in folk iconography.”
About the artist
Tilsa Crousse is a Franco-Peruvian illustrator based in Lima, trained in graphic design at the PUCP and in illustration and narrative at Escola Massana in Barcelona. Her imagery draws on folk iconography, nature, and illustrated books, with a style she describes as variable and undefined.
