THE STORY
“This print on Photo Matt Fibre 200 paper is the first in Tilsa Crousse's 'Leche de Tigre' series, whose title takes its name from the citrus marinade at the heart of Peruvian ceviche. The artist is a Franco-Peruvian illustrator trained in Lima and Barcelona, whose imagery draws on Peru's folk iconography. At 21 × 29.7 cm, it is an intimate piece made for close viewing.”
About the artist
Tilsa Crousse is a Franco-Peruvian illustrator based in Lima, trained in graphic design at the PUCP and in illustration and narrative at Escola Massana in Barcelona. Her imagery draws on folk iconography, nature, and illustrated books, with a style she describes as variable and undefined.
