THE STORY
“A large silkscreen, 96 × 66 cm, titled 'Ancestral Memory.' The title reflects the kené tradition itself — an ancestral visual language of the Shipibo-Konibo people, carried between generations of women through geometric patterns that hold knowledge of territory and community. Olinda Silvano, a kené master from the Peruvian Amazon, makes this memory present in contemporary printed form.”
